Scaleup Stories

We are thrilled to announce our third installment of Scaleup Stories for an intimate fireside chat with the Managing Partner of Monk’s Hill Ventures, Peng T. Ong.

Before Peng co-founded Monk’s Hill Ventures, a Southeast Asian technology venture fund, which has now invested in NinjaVan, KKDay, ZipMatch, C88 and Pixel Labs, Peng co-founded 3 successful companies. In 1993, Peng co-founded Match.com, the site that popularised online dating. The Match Group today operates other services such as Tinder, OKCupid, and PlentyofFish and has presence in more then 25 countries. He then started California-based content management software firm Interwoven and listed it on the NASDAQ in 1999. Interwoven was sold for $775 million in 2009 to British software firm Autonomy, which was in turn acquired by Hewlett-Packard in 2011. After Interwoven, Peng founded Encentuate, the leader in enterprise identity management which was later acquired by IBM. The three businesses he started now generate annual revenues that total more than $1 billion.

Join us as we go in-depth and learn from Peng’s experience in scaling these companies, the lessons he has learnt along the way, and gather his view of the broader entrepreneurial ecosystem both in Southeast Asia and beyond.
